Responsibilities: Communicate and share
all client and engagement knowledge with all the engagement team on a timely
basis. Ensure that the engagement manager and partner are informed about
important audit or accounting issues on a timely basis. Lead and coordinate the
fieldwork team in an effective and efficient manner on a day-to-day basis.
Ensure that engagements are executed in accordance with LYCA’s methodologies
and guidance, and professional standards, on a timely basis, and within budget
(or provide reasons why budgets exceeded). Ensure the fieldwork team’s
compliance with internal (methodology and risk management)/external
(regulatory) requirements and management arrangements. Execute appropriate use
of electronic working papers, audit tools and sources of knowledge. Review work
of team members (where applicable) on a timely basis and in a thorough and
constructive manner. Ensure that sufficient audit evidence is gathered and
correctly documented to support the audit opinion. Deliver service in accordance
with the principles of the Client Service Letter (or equivalent document).
Ensure all client deliverables are prepared on a timely basis to a high
technical standard and presentational quality (including draft financial
statements, management letters, business review memorandums and other client
communications). Financial: Contribute to the profitable growth by
ensuring client engagements are executed in an efficient manner. Identify and
follow up on opportunities to provide new services. Draft realistic but
challenging budgets, and monitor time spent on engagements. Assist
manager/partner with billing and collection processes. Client: Provide
and demonstrate value to clients. Commit to meeting clients’ expectations.
Identify ideas of value to the client and demonstrate these. Secure and enhance
client relationships with the appropriate level and present a favorable
impression of the firm. Ensure that client’s requests are acted upon on a
timely basis. Ensure that the engagement team meets client expectations.
Develop and maintain an appropriate external network of business contacts.
People: Develop skills and knowledge of the people in his or her group
and lives the firms shared culture and values at all times. Coach and mentor
less experienced professionals. Understand the skill-set of the engagement team
and ensure that the individual team members are allocated sufficiently
challenging work. Appraise team members in a constructive and timely manner.

but would be supported by demonstrable development in most, or all, of the
areas below: Increasing technical expertise in specific areas and be seen
as a source of expertise within the group. Ability to work as an in-charge on
large, complex, and important clients, or clients with a higher degree of risk
associated with them. The ability to take small or medium-sized engagements
direct to a partner without manager involvement. Identify more business
opportunities for the firm as a result of having developed a wider range of
personal contacts, and an increasing ability to identify a client’s needs.
Manage several engagements at one time and have people reporting to him or her.
