Tanveer is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has overall 20+ years of professional experience. He has worked with a big 4 accounting firm’s tax practice in the region over 12 years. His most recent position was Associate Partner in Tax Practice.
In his previous position, Tanveer has been actively involved in providing Tax / Zakat compliance and advisory services to domestic and multinational companies including large Saudi banks. Tanveer was a member of a team advising both existing and potential foreign investors in tax structuring all aspects of their Saudi Arabian operations and joint venture arrangements. His portfolio comprises of airport operators, banks and financial institutions, oil and gas, engineering consultants, independent power producers (IPP), telecommunication, contracting companies (including un-incorporated JVs) etc.
Tanveer assisted KSA Giga projects in setting up of tax function, implementation, and structuring aspect of tax consultancy.
Since the formation of Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC), Tanveer was instrumental and led successful settlement of various complex and high-profile tax and Zakat disputes with ADRC.
Prior to coming to this region, Tanveer worked for another big 4 accounting firm in Asia. In his previous role, Tanveer also actively led the audits of projects funded by international institutions including The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), United Nations Development Programe (UNDP), The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), European Commission (EC), Global Fund, International Monetary Fund (IMF), etc. and the audits of commercial banks and central bank.
